Terms of Service

By using Hackcert you agree to these terms. They are short on purpose — read them.

Last updated: May 2026

01.Acceptable use

Hackcert is an educational platform. You may use it to learn, practice, and benchmark cybersecurity skills. You may not use it to harass other users, scrape questions in bulk, abuse our infrastructure, or run automated tooling against accounts that are not your own.

Cheating on quizzes (e.g. scripting answer submission) is a fast path to a permanent ban.

02.Your account

You are responsible for keeping your credentials safe. One account per person. If you suspect unauthorized access, change your password and contact support immediately.

03.Content and licensing

All questions, explanations, badge artwork, and editorial content on Hackcert are © Hackcert and may not be republished without written permission. You retain ownership of anything you post (e.g. profile bio) and grant us a non-exclusive license to display it on the platform.

Quiz content is provided for educational purposes only. It is not legal, professional, or operational security advice.

04.Subscriptions and refunds

Free tiers are free forever. Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel any time from Settings — you keep access until the end of the billing period. We offer a 14-day refund window on first purchases, no questions asked.

05.Termination

You can delete your account any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice when possible. Termination does not relieve you of obligations accrued before termination.

06.Disclaimers and liability

Hackcert is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of your use of the service is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim.

07.Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, unless a mandatory consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction provides otherwise.
